ABOUT
Chef Jenny Lee is the owner of Kiuda, formerly called Perilla Kitchen. Kiuda is a pop-up restaurant that features Korean American cuisine. She will be doing pop-ups at Hot Dish Pantry in Milwaukee in September, October, November and December. The word Kiuda [Kee-oo-dah] 키우다 means nourish in Korean. The word also means taking care of kids, pets or plants. Chef Lee cooked for James Beard award-winning chefs Justin Aprahamian of Sanford in Milwaukee, as well as Tom Colicchio and Jean-Georges Vongerichten in New York City. Jenny teaches Korean cooking classes in the greater Milwaukee area. While she can cook anything, she teaches Korean cooking because she is proud of her heritage.
Kiuda won Best Flavor by the judges' vote at Battle of the Chefs Milwaukee 2022! Chef Lee made Korean Gochujang pork belly, rice and slaw dressed with soy sauce, rice vinegar and sesame oil.
